Heres a quick catch-up on some basketball terms you’ll want to know.

下面我們來快速看一下一些我們應(yīng)該知道的籃球術(shù)語（俚語）：

“Euro step”:

You go left (one), right (two), then get the layup.

歐洲步：先向左突破一步，再向右突破第二步，然后上籃。

注：沒有嚴(yán)格規(guī)定必須先向左還是向右突破，只是在做突破動作時左右虛晃，走Z型路線上籃，既可以理解為歐洲步。

這種步伐的創(chuàng)始人已經(jīng)無法證實，據(jù)說是由于最早由歐洲球員上籃時采用的一種過人步伐，所以叫歐洲步。由前立陶宛球星薩魯納斯·馬修利奧尼斯最早在NBA使用，由馬努·吉諾比利在NBA發(fā)揚(yáng)光大，并逐漸流行，成為后來者模仿和學(xué)習(xí)的模板。

“Cookies”: 搶斷/偷球

When you strip somebody or steal the ball from somebody.

當(dāng)一名球員破壞對手運(yùn)球或搶斷對手運(yùn)球時，會有人喊“Cookies”

“Making it rain”: 投籃百發(fā)百中

Knocking it down from anywhere on the court, nothing but net. Shooting like Clay and Steph.

不論在場上任何位置，出手就有，就像克萊-湯普森或者斯蒂芬-庫里一樣高命中率。

“Making it rain” 還有另一種解釋：

When a player or team is making shots left right and center. It’s like he/they cant miss. You just cant stop scoring.

當(dāng)一名球員或者一直球隊，不論在場上左側(cè)、右側(cè)或者中路投籃，出手就命中（好像他/他們就不會投失一樣），不停地在得分。

反之，如果球員在場上投籃屢次出手不中，

還有一個詞叫：

"cant throw a pea in the ocean"

寓意為：向大海里扔豌豆都扔不進(jìn)去，

即：投籃不進(jìn)，一直打鐵。

"Mad handles":

Amazing dribbling skills with a basketball.

指精彩/出色的運(yùn)球。

"Wiggle":

Being able to manoeuvre in and out of defenders with the basketball.

即在防守者面前做各種雜耍式運(yùn)球/控球動作，收放自如（且不會被搶斷）。

不知這個運(yùn)球能否入各位法眼

“Putting‘em on skates":

晃倒對手/戲弄對手

When you dribble past a defender, making him look like he’s on skates (falling).

當(dāng)你運(yùn)球突破防守者時，讓對方感覺就像在溜冰一樣（晃倒對方）。

"Getting stuffed":

投籃被封蓋，或某個動作被對手“摁”下來

Getting denied by defender. Often when jumping to make a basket, put being denied by the defender slamming the ball from a players hand.

被對手“摁”下來。常用于跳起投籃時，球出手被防守隊員大帽扇飛。

“Posterize”: /p?ust?raiz/ 原意：色調(diào)分離

Its when you dunk on somebody.

這里指一名球員在對手頭上扣籃。

"A dagger":

A shot that puts the game out of reach. Often in the final moments of the game.

定勝負(fù)的一球/關(guān)鍵一球：此球投進(jìn)后，對手失去翻盤/追趕的機(jī)會，常在比賽最后時刻出現(xiàn)。

"Wedgie": /?wed?i/

原意：楔形后跟的女鞋

The ball gets stuck between the basket and the backboard.

球卡在籃圈和籃板之間

"Block City": 連續(xù)蓋帽

When players are blocking their opponents successfully and consistently.

當(dāng)球員在（比賽中）多次成功地封蓋對手投籃時。

“Shoot some hoops ”:

即：play basketball. "Lets shoot somehoops!" Based on the basketball meaning of hoop (a high metal ring which is thrown to score points).

打籃球。例句：走，一起打球去！基于Hoop這個詞在籃球運(yùn)動中的含義而形成的俚語（Hoop：籃筐，一個高懸的鐵圈，籃球運(yùn)動以投籃入筐的方式得分）

SHoot some hoops

"Granny Shot": 低手投籃

Taking a shot underarm rather than the traditional way of shooting hoops above the head.

投籃時采用低手投籃，而非常規(guī)的高手（球在額前上方）出手。

"Dropping dimes": 即 Fancy passes.

花式傳球/花哨傳球/巧妙傳球
