I am all ears

乍一看，這個(gè)短語好像是“我全身長滿耳朵”？聽起來好嚇人?。〉钦娴氖沁@個(gè)意思嗎？別慌，這個(gè)短語不是“長滿耳朵”，而是“我在洗耳恭聽”！形容對(duì)話題很感興趣，正集中精神、全神貫注等待對(duì)方說下去。

Throw in the towel

該短語可不是“扔掉毛巾”，而是表達(dá)“放棄”之意哦！Throw in the towel來自拳擊運(yùn)動(dòng)，早期說法是“ Throw up the sponge-海綿”，以前拳擊手的經(jīng)理可以將海綿丟進(jìn)擂臺(tái)中，表示拳擊手放棄。蘸水的海綿是給拳擊手擦臉的，以保持清醒，后來才以毛巾代替海綿。
