“there be”句型速記
一、速記口訣
there be句型有特點(diǎn),主語(yǔ)放在 be 后面;
單數(shù)主語(yǔ)用 is,復(fù)數(shù)用 are記心間①;
多個(gè)主語(yǔ)并列時(shí),就近原則是關(guān)鍵②。
變否定,很簡(jiǎn)單,be 后要把not 添;
疑問(wèn)句也不難,把 be 提到there 前③。
肯定句中用 some,否定、疑問(wèn)any換④。
二、口訣解讀
①There be句型的基本結(jié)構(gòu)為“There be+主語(yǔ)(某人或某物)+地點(diǎn)(副詞或介詞短語(yǔ))”,表示“某地存在某人(或某物)”,因此也叫“存在句”。當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是不可數(shù)名詞或單數(shù)名詞時(shí),be用is;當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是復(fù)數(shù)時(shí),be用are。
There is a ruler on the desk.書(shū)桌上有一把尺。
There are four apples on the tree.
(長(zhǎng)在樹(shù)上)樹(shù)上有四個(gè)蘋(píng)果。
②當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上的名詞時(shí),謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞的數(shù)要與離它最近的名詞的數(shù)一致,即采用“臨近原則”。
There is an orange and some bananas in the basket.
=There are some bananas and an orange in the basket.
籃子里有一個(gè)橘子和一些香蕉。
③其否定句是在be后加n ot。一般疑問(wèn)句是將be提到句首,句末變問(wèn)號(hào)。
肯定回答用:Yes, there is/are.;
否定回答用No, there isn’t/aren’t.
e.g. There are some pictures on the wall.
→There aren’t any pictures on the wall.
→Are there any pictures on the wall?
There is a bike behind the tree.
→There isn’t a bike behind the tree.
→Is there a bike behind the tree?
④在肯定句中常用some,但在變?yōu)榉穸ň浠蛞蓡?wèn)句時(shí),要把some改為any。
There are some fish in the water.
→Are there any fish in the water?
三、特別提醒
1. “What’s +表地點(diǎn)的介詞短語(yǔ)”用there be句型來(lái)回答。在問(wèn)的時(shí)候,be用is,而回答時(shí),要視實(shí)際情況而選用is或are。
—What’s on thedesk? 桌子上有什么?
—There are 5 eggs. 有5個(gè)雞蛋。
2. 有時(shí)為了突出或強(qiáng)調(diào)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ),也可把表地點(diǎn)的介詞短語(yǔ)放在前面,后面加逗號(hào)。
Under the table there is a cat.在桌下有一只貓。
