外媒的“退役”有幾種寫法？

費德勒宣布退役的消息刷屏網(wǎng)絡(luò)，除了常見的retire，外媒還用上了這些花樣表達。

路透社使用了call time on的搭配：費德勒將于下周的拉沃爾杯后結(jié)束輝煌的職業(yè)生涯

根據(jù)柯林斯辭典的解釋，call time on意為 “終止某事（If you call time on something, you end it.）”，并且標注主要為英國使用、新聞界使用。

其他外媒中，“call”的出鏡也格外頻繁，福布斯新聞在報道橄欖球傳奇湯姆·布拉迪對費德勒退役表態(tài)時用了“ call it quits”；

《每日郵報》和《愛爾蘭時報》則用了“ call it a day”。
